Oh dear that's no good! But thanks for sharing that or we would have probably done the same. My worst failure was using salt instead of sugar in a creme brulee. Yup. Yuck!:P

My mum once made a nutella pizza. Rather than putting icing sugar on it, she mixed up the jar with cornflour. My dad demolished his share not noticing. Until my sister's boyfriend took a bite and noticed his mouth getting sticky and the bland taste. I haven't stopped picking on both my parents since that date about it.

I've used coconut flour and been quite happy with it, I have always used it with something else though (as in with other flour) so maybe that made it work.

Oh nooo that's a shame wasting, but at least you know what to do for next time!

The worst thing I've done is when I made veal parmigiana and thought I'd grabbed tomato sauce from the fridge but it was homemade pure chili sauce. We didn't realise until we started eating.

oh dear, thanks for the tip, it does sound promising that it smells so nice.

I learnt that lesson the hard way too!

My worst disaster was when I first started out, I tipped a WHOLE tin of peppercorns into a sauce without looking- or tasting (the brine went in as well). The customer was very gracious and had me cook for them again, but I learnt my lesson to ALWAYS taste before I send out food.

What a shame! But good on you to take it as a lesson, don't give up! My friend baked a banana bread with coconut flour the other day, I didn't try it but she said it was great. I'll ask for the recipe soon.

Just wondering where you bought your coconut flour? i have recipe that uses it and wondering how far i need to travel to get it :)

Jasmyne Tea

Hi! I got it from my local health food store, but I've also seen it at Coles, you know their "healthy eating" section near the bread and spreads?

Thanks, my Coles must suck! I am struggling to find a good local health shop.....
