Geez, I love this place and the last time I was here was at least 10 years ago and it was for a beautiful outdoor piano recital by David Helfgott.

It was an amazing scene where a huge white canopy was lit with coloured lights with the giraffes and harbour as the backdrop.

What a shame about the crappy choices. It's even harder to eat out and about with food InTolerances though, and I hate 'missing out' even if all I can eat are the chips!

Hi Dear A very well made post with beautiful pictures. Have a great day !!!

In this day and age, it's always surprising to see that so many public attractions still serve up mediocre food for the masses. At least a lot of the major museums and aquariums have started making a real concerted effort to serve healthier and better quality food. Let's hope it's a trend that reaches the zoos soon, too.

I went to a function at Taronga zoo for work a few years ago and it was fabulous, fine food and wine on the verandah overlooking the zoo and city...
Nowadays we often go to the zoo as my hubbys work is a sponsor so we can get in for free, we usually eat the sausage sandwiches (my daughters absolute favourite food!) sold in front of the elephants.

This is my neck of woods! I haven't been to the zoo in years though, but it's always good fun :-)

I love visiting Taronga Zoo, but it is a shame about the limited food choices! A packed lunch might be the best option here (is that still allowed?).

Love the new blog look by the way!
