Man... There really isn't anywhere better to have Gumbo than in the South, now is there? Another awesome meal from your travels, Jasmyne. Fun!

LOL I laughed at the comment about people stopping in the street all of a sudden. I'm sure I'm guilty of that! :P

muppy

i looove what you learnt about each other!!!! its such a process sometimes of finding that meeting place.

Pure Complex

I loved all of your photos. I can't wait to visit Louisiana one day myself. And just look at all those delicious food. I love this post

Hotly Spiced

Great images Jasmyne of an amazing part of the world. That is so funny that on your holiday you learned so much about each other and discovered so many opposite traits. Like they say, opposites attract! The food of New Orleans looks very interesting and not like the food we eat here in Sydney. Would be wonderful to try their cuisine. xx

Cute post!

Wow, I love the pictures...it has been a while since I've been to New Orleans :)
Hope you are having a fantastic week Jasmyne!

lol this reminds me of my own holidays. i too am very non mappy which has resulted in a few arguments ending with me being called all types of expletives.

New Orleans is defnitely on my list of places to visit. I love the sound of the 'soul' food on offer there, not to mention all that Jazz :)

Oh my, that beef brisket sandwich looks bigger than my face! But I love dainty cup of gumbo - though it does looks wondrously thick compared to the waterier ones I've tried.

InTolerantChef

The food looks delicious, I've always wanted to try a 'real' gumbo too.
I glad you had such a fun learning experience :)
