It's funny (and awful) how HD crashes can throw you into deep, deep thought and general pondering of all the important things. I hope you're able to work out everything you want/need to do really soon and I'm looking forward to seeing your future ventures. Do what you love, love what you do!! x

Sara (Belly Rumbles)

Look forward to your blog, not matter what direction you take it. Have fun taking time out and finding what fits for you.

Every now and then I feel not motivated as well to blog and like you I have deep thoughts about what I really want to include and what I want to get out of m blog....for some time I wanted to concentrate on both travel and food, more on travel...but I realised I don't travel enough to make it interesting!

Either way, a change is always good to keep things fresh and never know, you might find some fantastic content that's fun to write about! :) I'm looking forward to it! :D

Joanne

I think we all go through these moments of uncertainty in blogging. I hope you figure out what you want to do with it soon!

Jasmyne, at the end you will have to follow your heart and like what you do...so take time and take the direction that will make you happy.
You know where to find me :)

Everyone needs time out sometimes... Enjoy the time off.

Dear Jasmyne,

When I started my blog, I felt food wasn't the be all and end all. No matter how good a recipe or restaurant, I knew that to keep writing about it, although enjoyable, could become very "one dimensional".

Music is and always will be one of my life's passions and I found that adding that dimension to my blog enabled me to write with a lot of passion and draw parallels between cooking, playing music, going to restaurants, travel, the life of my favourite composers and why they wrote the music that they did similar to why chefs cooked certain foods.

Find the one thing that that matters most to your heart and relate that to your food blog and you will always be inspired. Good luck.

I know just how you feel, Jasmyne -sometimes "real life" just takes over and it's good to just let it do that sometimes. I find that I'm concentrating more and more on my new job now and the spare time I find is left for friends and family but, every now and then, I find the strongest urge to do some blogging.

It doesn't have to be frequent. Just when you want :)

It's glad you were honest with yourself and didn't continue just because you felt like you had to. I get moments like that and sometimes I just let it be. I somehow come crawling back, which then I know it's what I want to do. Hope your search is going well. Can't wait to hear all about it xx
